edunexco.com is published by EduNext, a brand of Consumer Response Media, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110. These terms apply when you read the magazine, write in or sign up for the heads-up. Readers who disagree with them are asked to close EduNext and read no further.

What EduNext publishes

EduNext publishes free articles about paying for college and the everyday benefits students can look into, sorted by the reader's situation, along with six longer guides. It also sends an occasional heads-up by email, and by text to readers who ask for one.

EduNext is an independent education magazine. It is not a government agency, a college, a lender or a scholarship sponsor, and the U.S. Department of Education has no part in it. It does not award, lend, decide or apply for aid, and nothing it sends files a form or enrolls you in anything. The FAFSA costs nothing to file at studentaid.gov.

General information only

Articles describe programs and deadlines in general terms. They cannot weigh your own school, household or money, and they are not financial, tax or legal advice. Take a decision about your own aid, taxes or loans to the school or agency in charge, or to a qualified professional.

Rules that differ by place

Some rules described on the site are national, and many more are set by states, schools and agencies and change from year to year. Treat every rule and date on the site as a reason to check what your own school or agency publishes.

Your part

The heads-up is for readers aged 16 and over, and texts are for readers aged 18 and over or with a parent's or guardian's permission. The name, email address and mobile number you enter must belong to you, and you may change or remove them whenever you like.

SMS text messaging

Program description

The EduNext heads-up is a program of recurring automated marketing text messages sent directly by EduNext to people who opt in. The texts point to new articles and guides for the situation you chose and to dates in the student aid year, and they answer your sign-up or message. Each one opens with [EduNext].

How you opt in

You join by entering your own mobile number in the heads-up sign-up, the form on the home page or the contact form, and checking the text message box yourself. The box always starts unchecked, and only the owner of a number may sign it up.

Consent

Consent is not a condition of purchase or service. All of edunexco.com stays open to read whatever you decide about texts.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies, up to 4 messages per month.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. EduNext itself never charges for a text.

Opting out

Reply STOP at any time to opt out and cancel. A single confirmation follows, and then the texts end. A call or an email to EduNext ends them as well.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Your mobile information will not be shared with any third party for marketing purposes. Read the SMS terms and the Privacy policy for how numbers and consent records are kept.

Care and its limits

Articles are checked against the published rules and reread when a new award year begins, yet programs change and no article can cover every case. To the extent the law allows, EduNext is not responsible for losses that follow from relying on the site in place of the office or agency that decides.

When the terms change

EduNext may revise these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the version in force, and using the site after a revision means you accept it.
